At that time, Adi was producing shoes with his brother Rudolf under the name ‘Dassler Brothers Shoes Company’. Historic wins shot Jesse Owens and Dassler brothers’ shoes to fame. However, fame also forced the brothers apart, with Adolf forming Adidas shoes and Rudolf Puma shoes.

Adi Dassler was not one to rest on past laurels or present troubles. He went headlong in creating more functional and stylishly designed Adidas shoes for men and women who wanted to excel in sports.
